A new modular line jack on the rear of the Callmaster III console replaces the original line jack under the console. The new line jack provides all the same connectivity as the original line jack plus it provides the audio output for recording.
Note that the 302/603RIM uses the original line jack.
The following tables show the wiring for 2-wire and 4-wire circuit pack connections.
The recorder audio connections are shown in bold.

The audio output uses a spare pair in the line jack. This pair is not the same on a 2-wire port circuit and a 4-wire port circuit. Determine which type of a port circuit pack you are connecting to, and set the switch to the left of the new line jack to match your installation.
Select a gain setting that best matches your recording device. You may want to make several test recordings to determine which setting (higher or lower) works best for your application. The volume control on the Callmaster III also changes the output audio of the 302/603RIM. If you consistently use a low volume setting, try the high (1.8) setting on the 302/603RIM. Conversely, if you use a high volume setting on your Callmaster III try the low (1.5) setting.
The beep tone is factory set to on. If your installation is correct, the beep tone should be audible in the handset and on the recording. You may use the beep tone to verify that everything is functioning properly, then turn the beep tone off if you do not require it. Use the following illustration to locate the line jack and set the switches.
