Conversations may be recorded by connecting a RJ11 adapter from the "IN" jack on the E8050 to the recorder’s input.
Previous recordings may be reviewed by connecting a cord from the "OUT" jack on the E8050 to the recorder’s output.

Connect the "LINE" jack on the E8050 to an analog line.
Connect 12vdc to the "12VDC" jack on the E8050. With power applied, the green active led will flash.

The E8050 has no beep tone, but supports recorders that provide a beep tone. Turn the recorder’s beep tone on (may be required by law) to notify the calling party.
Place a call or answer an incoming call. With the other party on the line, use the conference feature of your voice terminal to call the station the E8050 is connected to. It will answer after the first ring and the green active led is now on steady. One second after it answers, it will send out 3 beep tones. The recorder may now be used for recording or playback.
The yellow vox led will flutter or remain on as it "follows" the conversation on the line. The E8050 disconnects when the calling party hangs up or when no audio is detected for 25 seconds.
You may want to program a "hot" button to dial the E8050 for one touch recording or playback. Refer to the conferencing features on your particular voice terminal.
