To record from a headset, the user must program the lower right feature button for headset status (*782). Refer to "Code Programming" in Avaya’s users guide for the MLX set, or check with your administrator if you are not familiar with programming feature buttons.
The beep tone is set by a toggle switch. The switch is accessed through a hole on the back of the voice terminal. The default position for the beep tone option is "on".
To set the beep tone option, remove the desktop stand from the bottom of the voice terminal. Remove the single screw from the wall bracket and remove the wall bracket from the voice terminal. Locate the access hole as shown in the illustration, and set the beep tone as required.
