The MI6400 Recorder Interface Module provides an analog audio output of voice conversations from a 6424D+M ( 6424D02A ) or a 6408D+ ( 6408D01C ) type set. The module is located within the set and must be factory installed.
Buttons on the set are reserved for the record-on-demand and headset features when the RIM is installed.
The MI6400 works with the handset, speakerphone, and headset (if equipped).
The MI6400 produces a beep tone every 15 seconds to remind the callers that they are being recorded. The tone feature may be switched on or off by the user.
The record-on-demand (ROD) feature allows the user to choose which conversations to record.
