In addition to the standard features found on the MLX set, the recorder interface module (RIM) provides audio of both sides of a conversation for recording purposes. The module is factory mounted in the base of the MLX voice terminal.

To record from a headset, the user must program the lower right feature button for headset status. Refer to Avaya’s user’s guide or check with your administrator if you are not familiar with programming feature buttons.
The beep tone is set by a toggle switch on the MI-30 RIM. Remove the desktop stand from the terminal. Remove the pedestal from the back of the voice terminal. The RIM is located inside the pedestal. Locate toggle switch SW1 on the RIM. An arrow and "on" are marked on the RIM by the switch. Push the switch in the direction of the arrow to set the beep tone on. The default position is "on".
The beep tone is set by a toggle switch accessed through a hole on the back of the voice terminal. Locate the access hole on the upper left corner on the back of the set. Push the switch left for "on", right for "off". The default position is "on".
