Description

The SD-89 Auto Dial Telephone is designed to store and call preset numbers from a public location using a standard tip and ring phone line.
The SD-89 is only capable of originating a call. It will not ring if called, and is not capable of answering a call. The only calls the SD-89 can place are those which are programmed into memory.
After a stored number is dialed and answered the keypad operates normally, allowing the user to respond to AUDIX services, or enter credit card/calling card numbers.
The SD-89 will store up to 169 twelve digit telephone numbers. These prestored numbers are accessed by a two or three digit code that is programmed into the unit by use of the keypad. The range is 01 - 99 for two digits and 001 - 169 for three digits.
The microphone is muted until a call connection is established. This prevents the use of hand-held touch-tone generators for making unauthorized calls. A false or non-programmed code will give the user a click and restore dial tone at which time another code may be dialed. During the dialing process, the touch tones can be heard by the caller as they are being dialed. Once a call connection is made, the unit operates as a conventional telephone.
