The IL24 is not polarity sensitive. The IL24 offers several advantages over incandescent lamps, including:
Remove the 2 Phillips head screws from the back of the IL24, and separate the two halves of the housing. The two keyhole mounting holes are 1.5” apart. Three holes are provided for cable entry. 2 are on the back for flush mounting, and 1 oblong hole is centered on the edge for exposed surface wiring.
Mark the mounting holes and cable entry positions using the template, or use the housing to mark the locations. Install two #8 screws at the mounting hole locations, and tighten them until a 1/16” gap is left between the mounting surface and the back of the screw heads.
Run the cable through one of the cable holes, and connect the leads to the screw terminals on the lamp. The polarity does not matter.

Re-assemble the IL24 housing and place it over the mounting screws. Slide the housing so the mounting screws catch in the keyholes.
