The VAS8 monitors 8 inputs and delivers a unique voice message for each input when an alarm is active. The VAS8 can contact up to 5 different locations when an alarm occurs.
The VAS8 is equipped with eight inputs and two outputs. The input circuits are optically isolated and require a short for activation. The outputs are optically isolated and provide a 30 ohm short when active. Outputs are used for audible or visual alarm circuitry. The output on P1 pins 48 and 50 is normally closed (shorted). The output on P1 pins 38 and 40 is normally open.
The telephone line interface is used to receive and initiate calls. An alert is initiated by a short on any or all of the 8 inputs. The VAS8 will dial the pre-stored telephone numbers and output a pre-recorded voice message. There is a separate message for each alarm.
Voice messages are stored in a digital format along with passwords and telephone numbers. Voice messages and telephone numbers can be changed at will. Any stored variables remain during a power outage.
